Baron Philippe de Rothschild Mouton Cadet Bordeaux AOC 0.75L
Wine blending consists of three selected grapes varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Such combination gives this wine a beautiful intense ruby red color. History of Mouton Cadet creation is quite complicated, as 1920s was the period of crop failure. Nevertheless, manufacturers decided to release a new variety of wine in 1930, and it was Mouton Cadet, that is translated as 'younger brother'. And despite the fact that the manufacturer didnt hope for success anymore, this drink gained popularity. It has a great fruity taste of juicy red and black fruits, with unobtrusive but noticeable hints of menthol and strawberry jam. It has a typical long aftertaste of berries and specific licorice taste. The wine is recommended to drink with rabbit meat, lamb with vegetables or grilled duck.
