Red dry wine

A wonderful Il Leo wine was named after Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino – the founder of the wine house and is manufactured since 2000. It is produced from such grape variaties: 75% of Sangiovese and the rest is from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties. The berries are harvested in the territory of Valdarno vineyards in Monteriggioni and Chianti region.

Il Leo has an elegant, smooth and fruity taste with velvety tannins. Its finish is long lasting with notes of fresh cherries and blueberries.

The bouquet reveals fresh plums and cherries, which harmoniously blend with pleasant notes of violets, black pepper, vanillas and cloves.

It is recommended to combine with grilled meat, light salads, pasta and soft cheeses.
